This week’s Gospel looked at the parable of the Ten Bridesmaids. Through a modern day retelling of the parable, the ten pupils, we learnt that Jesus teaches us not to literally ‘stay awake’, but to be prepared for the unknown time of His return by loving God and loving others. Matthew 25 1- 13

Our mission this week was to recognise that one important way that we can be ready for Jesus coming back, is by saying sorry every day for the things we do wrong, to keep things right between us and God. This week we were asked to spend time with God, examining our conscience and saying sorry. On Friday we will share how we said sorry.

These are the ways the Year 6 children have said sorry this week:
Speaking to God and asking for guidance.
Forgiving people if they have made a mistake because we would want to be forgiven.
Doing a good deed to make up for your mistake, for example cleaning my room at home or offering to help a teacher at school.
