On Thursday 28th January, St Clare’s joined in with all of the other schools across the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust in a virtual liturgy to celebrate the Feast Day of St Thomas Aquinas.
Despite the majority of our children working from home, classes joined together either to watch live or to watch a recording together over Zoom.

The children listened to Mr Lockyer, Mr Shannon and Bishop Patrick talking about gratitude, about being thankful – especially in these difficult times.
The reading, from St Paul’s letter to the Philippians, helped us to remember that worrying about things gets us nowhere and we should trust in the Lord that all will be well.
The whole liturgy reminded us to focus on the good things in our lives and to make sure we show thanks for them.
The children really enjoyed joining in with the actions to one of their favourite songs: My Lighthouse, at the end of the liturgy. We can’t wait to be able to sing!
Everyone at St Clare’s would like to say thank you to those who took part and those who put it all together – we are grateful to be part of the the St Thomas Aquinas CMAT.

Our Year 1 children made this wonderful tree of everything they are grateful for.
