All of our staff and children joined the NDCYS and Father Simon in the National Day of Reflection to mark the one year anniversary of the first lockdown due to Covid 19.
We have all gone through a lot of change in the last 12 months. We have had to change our routines, stay at home, not go to school and give up fun activities such as sports and visiting our friends and families.
Some of us have tragically lost love ones or know people who have suffered with the virus or have suffered ourselves. This short time of prayer together helped us to reflect on what has been a truly unique year.
Father Simon led us in prayer, helping us to remember the journey we have been on and also reminding us that God’s love and support is always with us.
We then joined in with the National Minute of Silence as we took time to reflect on the past year.
Tom Baptiste ended the broadcast with the message that we should now look forward in hope and in joy as we, hopefully, near the end of the final restrictions and we can all be together once again.
