In today’s assembly, we spoke about the Last Supper and how the disciples prepared the meal. We also learned how Jesus prepared His disciples for His crucifixion and how we prepare to receive Holy Communion when we attend Mass. We watched the story of the Last Supper and discussed how the bread and the wine were not simply bread and wine but the body and blood of Christ.
Our Mission
After we receive Jesus in Holy Communion, we are sent out into the world to carry out His mission. We were challenged to put love into action this week.
Mark 14: 22-26
And as they were eating, He took some bread, and when He had said the blessing, He broke it
and gave it to them. “Take it,” He said, “this is my Body.” Then He took a cup, and when He had
returned thanks, He gave it to them, and all drank from it, and He said to them, “This is my Blood, the blood of the covenant, which is to be poured out for many. I tell you solemnly, I shall not drink any more wine until the day I drink the new wine in the kingdom of God.”

Year 6 put love into action this week by:
Helping friends when they are upset on the playground.
We wrote a letter to the Kingswood staff saying thank you for all of their help during our residential.
I helped my parents with the dinner so they were not as stressed.
