Miss Dodd lead a parent meeting on the Come and See programme that is used to deliver RE lessons to pupils. This meeting gave specific information on what each year group studies including which sacraments are explored, as well as what each year group’s targets (driver words) are.
Parents were given advice on how best to use knowledge organisers for RE, specifically talking about personal experiences relating to the topic, especially when it comes to the sacraments.
We also discussed any experiences that are planned into the RE curriculum to enhance the Come and See scheme futher: Year 6 Vocations talk from Fr Cahill, Year 3 visit to a local synagogue, Year 1 visit to Mother of God parish to name and recognise artefacts used in the sacrament of Baptism, as well as many others.
