Billy has referred to Mary’s ability to care for Jesus in his child led mission this week. He explained how Mary loved and cared for Jesus and how this is documented from the Nativity to the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Can we fulfil the mission of consciously taking care of those we are surrounded by? Can we share our time, our emotions, our belongings as we care for friends, family and members of our school/parish communities?

Year 4
Annie: Thanked her dad for helping her with he Science project.
Betsy: Hugged her parents and said that they were fantastic.
Marco: Thanked his brother for always being there for him.
In Y6 our children have shown care to others and shown the light of Jesus, in a number of different ways this week including:
They helped their Mum prepare dinner.
They made breakfast for all their family.
They welcomed a new boy to our class and played with him in the Sacred Heart way.
They encouraged their friends to do well in their Mock SATs.
One bought their sibling a gift.
They tidied their rooms.
They helped someone in the street who had fallen over.
One helped their family move house.
One bought flowers for their neighbour whose wife had passed.
One accompanied their Gran to visit a grave of someone who had been lonely.
Year 5 shared how they have shown care:
I played with my baby cousin and made him smile.
With my mum, I helped an old man with heavy bags to cross the road.
My brother was sad so I cheered him up.
I showed care to my sister by not arguing with her.
I cared for my brother by helping with things that he can’t do
