This week’s word is “Faith”. Faith is very tricky as it means believing in something you cannot see.
We heard this scripture from the Bible:

We talked about how we can ask God for anything, but we must trust Him if we don’t receive it. God has a plan and we must believe that He knows what is right.
Our Faith can give us great comfort. When we are feeling ill or sad or someone has upset us, we can pray or read the Bible to receive hope that things will get better.
Mrs Beer shared this piece of scripture:
Philippians 4:6-7
Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.
Your mission this week is to find a prayer or a piece of scripture which helps you when you are sad. Let us know in the comments below what you have chosen.

This week EYFS have spoken a lot about faith and how that can sometimes be challenged, like when Jesus ascended from the dead and people didn’t believe this as they couldn’t see this. The children watched a video in R.E about when Peter tried to spread the word that Jesus had risen from the dead and that we should repent and believe. They also spoke about times in their lives that they’ve found difficult, times when they were challenged and they felt that God was not with them. This could be when they have had to make a decision about something or if they found their learning difficult. The children liked the ‘Footprints prayer’ because they felt that in times of challenge that even though they couldn’t see God, He was there with them.
Year 4 spent time looking through the bible and finding scripture that meant something to then. We also looked at prayers we can use to help us through our days and our lives.
