We are all called to Holiness. Holiness is not something that we can achieve on our own, but it is something that God offers to us through his grace. We can grow in holiness by following Jesus’ example, by praying and reading Scripture, and by serving others.
Our mission this week:
Think of one quality that Jesus had and try to practice it this week with the people that you meet.
In mission circles all of the children can write the quality they are going to work on (an older child could act as a scribe) display this somewhere in school, and refer back to it during Friday’s circle.

Our mission this week was holiness . Holiness is a gift from God for us to live like Him in our actions and words. Holiness is God’s news that God has spread for us in our actions and words. We can do those actions by following Jesus’ footsteps . You can also be grateful for what you receive, generous to others, kind and forgiving. We all have the right to be treated fairly (justice) and to follow Jesus’ footsteps and be like Him.

In our Pupil Led Liturgy this week, those leading us in prayer helped us to respond to the Scripture shared (Acts 1: 6-11) by holding out our hands and placing a thought or a memory from this week of a time when we have showed holiness. We then offered this to God. In our Circle Time this week we thought about similarities and differences, including in the qualities we have and can share with others.
In our Mission Circles on Monday, we discussed what holiness meant and how we could grow in holiness by following Jesus’ example, and by serving others. For our mission this week, the children had to think of one quality that Jesus had and try to practise it with the people that they met throughout the week. When we met again in our Mission Circles on Friday, the children reflected on how they had got on with their task and the impact it had on their week. Overall, the children’s week was better as a result of following in Jesus’ footsteps. Well done everyone!
