This week’s word is sacrifice.
The children talked about how this means to give something up and also how God gave up his only son for us.
We heard this scripture;
Here, Jesus tells his disciples that they will need to give things up to follow him – to make sacrifices, but these sacrifices will result in them living in love and will be recognised by God.
We talked about the people who make sacrifices for us:
- parents
- school staff
- friends
- other relatives

Giovanna – I said thank you to my mum for all the time she sacrifices to make me food.
Klara-I said ‘thank you’ to my mum and dad for all they have sacrificed to help me grow.
Andrei-I thanked my family for all their sacrifices for me, like when they do kind things for me eg.making me delicious dinners.
Maja-I thanked my parents for giving up their time to help me with my homework.
