Year 3/4 led a Microsoft teams liturgy about waiting for the Light to come into the world at Christmas. We thought about how we can let our light shine in the world during Advent as we prepare for Jesus’ coming. We learned about the story of Rama and Sita, who were guided to follow the right path by lights shone by others. This helped us to make Advent promises in which we committed to spreading the light of God’s love in the world and trying to help others to follow the right path by our words and actions.
Caitlin said that the flickering lights reminded her of the Advent wreath and helped her remember that Jesus is always with us, even when we are waiting for Him. Doruk said that the story of Rama and Sita helped him to think about how he could be brave and make good choices in his life instead of being tempted to go the wrong way. Michalina promised that she would be kind and look after her family during Advent so that everyone could have a safe and happy Christmas.
