The Chaplaincy team met to discuss how they could support their peers to answer the second set of Synod questions.
They talked with Mrs Beer about who they thought would feel excluded from the church.
They talked about:
- people of other faiths
- people of no faith
- the elderly
- the sick
- the homeless
They then thought about how they could support them and make them feel included. The chaplains each wrote a prayer to read out during Monday’s Act of Worship.
They prayed for the different sets of people they had thought of and how they could reach out to them. Ideas included:
- sharing a smile
- supporting the elderly with gifts at Christmas so that they feel loved
- respecting other faiths and those of no faith
- praying for those who are sick
The chaplaincy team hope that these prayers will support their classmates when answering these week’s Synod questions:
