This week’s word is ‘Eucharist’. This is when we share the body and blood of Christ in Holy Communion.
We heard about the Last Supper:
Jesus shares a meal with us every time we receive Holy Communion because he loves us.
Your mission this week, therefore, is to share a meal with the people you love. This could be your mum and dad, your grandparents, your friends or your wider community.

In Year One we remembered the special meal Jesus shared with his friends. We talked about how it is special to share a meal with our families. We also thought about how lunchtime at school is a chance to spend time with our friends.
Year 4 have had a lovely week sharing meals with people they love.
Ini shared a meal with her Mum and Dad, they sat together and spoke about their day.
Isla and Georgie had dinner together with their families, they all had a lovely timing sharing stories and memories.
Lottie had dinner with her sister!
This week the children in EYFS have spent quality time at lunchtime eating together and speaking and listening to each other. They have also tried to make more time eating together with their families and talking about how their day has been and about things that they like doing and eating.
This week year 3 completed this weeks mission of sharing a meal with the people you love. Here are some of their experiences:
Chloe – ‘Me and my family shared a meal everyday this week and made us think of Jesus’
Nicole – ‘I had a BBQ with my family and we shared bread, just like how we do at communion’
Inka – ‘ We had a big feast with my cousin, who came over to visit us and it made me feel happy because we were all sharing and together’
In Year 2 we talked about the Last Supper and how Jesus shared a special mela with his friends. August shared that he had been to a BBQ with Dads work and shared food and fun. Regan said he enjoyed having tea with his mum and sister. Marika said she enjoyed sharing lunch with her friends and having chance to talk and catch up.
