This week’s word is “kingdom”.

We talked about how this can mean a country ruled by a King – such as the United Kingdom, or it can mean heaven, the Kingdom of God.

We heard this adapted scripture:

We talked about the line from the Our Father which says: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. We said that this meant that we want earth to be the same as Heaven. “Thy will” means God’s will – what he wants it to be like.

We talked about what Heaven might be like. The children came up with kind, happy, peaceful, and joyful.

Your mission this week is to do something to make your community more like the kingdom of heaven. What can you do to make Coalville more like Heaven?

Let us know in the comments how you achieve this week’s mission.
