Recently Year 8 took part in their Think Days at Rosmini Centre focusing on our ‘Vocation’, our calling from God to be the people that he has created us to be. Here John Lee 8U describes his experience:
‘I believe Think day was a great day with all the activities. My favourite one was when we had to put on a blindfold and let our partner guide you verbally. This was a chance to express how we trusted people and it imitated God’s calling to us by not knowing where we are going but having faith and following the right direction using God’s helpfulness.
Furthermore, I think this lovely trip was so inspiring as it assisted us to finding our future careers and reminded us how important is was to believe in God so that he will always be at our side and fight off all temptation.
As other people did this blindfold obstacle too, it was quite difficult to understand what our right instructions was. But I guess that is what will happen in reality, since temptation will always be at our back and change our course. So God being our protective guardian, will lead us gracefully to salvation. During our time there, we also did charades; playing jobs which will potentially be ours. This gave us an opportunity to be who we are; dealing with different scenarios to face real life. Overall, I think it was an absolutely amazing time because it really gave us a chance to consider our vocation and also be who we want to be.’John Lee
