Last week Kevin from The Canaan Trust visited Saint Martins. We enjoyed hearing about the charity’s work and how they support homelessness in our wider community. Homelessness is a real issue in our local communities, affecting many people- young and old and we can help raise awareness. Last Friday night we held a charity film night at school between 6:00pm-9:00pm and raised money for The Canaan Trust. “Friday night was really enjoyable, I got to have fun with my friends and raise money for a great charity at the same time. We started the evening off with a lovely liturgy and this was led by some year 8 children, this allowed us to think about ‘who is my neighbour’. We watched Home Alone, ate popcorn and it was a very successful evening” Gaby, Year 8.
