On the Jesse Tree hang lots of different baubles each with a picture on. Each picture represents a story in the Bible leading up to the birth of Jesus.  For example, the bauble with the ram on represents the story of Abraham (the ram is what Abraham sacrifices instead of his son Isaac) Every day, people put a bauble on the tree and read the story to go with it. They start this in the liturgical season of advent and finish at the birth of Jesus. There are 24 different ornaments going from the temptation of Adam and Eve to the Birth of Jesus.

Before Christmas every year 7 & 8 class got the opportunity to go into the chapel and learn about the Jesse Tree. During our class’ turn, Mrs Smith picked out some key pictures and read the story to go with them. When we entered the Chapel, we sat down in prayer and reflected on the stories. We learnt how the story matches the pictures and found it a great way to prepare for Christmas.
