Mission: To make our class community or family community a happier and more united place

Today’s Mission Assembly continued on from last week’s. Mrs Beer once again read us the story of the apostles living together and sharing what they had. However, we read on further and also found out how joyously they lived together, how by living peacefully and making sure that no-one went without, they were all happy and united.

This week’s mission is to make our class community or family community a happier and more united place.

Year 5, who joined Mrs Beer in the hall for assembly, came up with some suggestions of how this mission could be achieved in school:

  • playing together
  • helping each other
  • sharing things

They also thought about how this could be achieved at home:

  • helping mum and dad with chores
  • playing nicely with our brothers and sisters
  • being peaceful

How have you achieved this week’s mission? Let us know in the comments below.

    Year One
The children felt that our class was a happy place all the time! This is because they always play and talk together and make sure everyone is happy .

In Year 6, we think our classroom is always happy as we make a special effort to be kind to each other and treat each other with respect. We smile at each other everyday and make each other laugh. We are always spreading joy in Y6!

Year Two have told jokes to make other people laugh this week. We have also played some maths games that were really fun to play and this made everybody happy. KS1 have played nice games together at both lunch and breaktimes. Some children have even played games at home with parents and really enjoyed doing this.

Year 3 have been happy to spend time with each other this week. We’ve had a giggle at on our live lessons when Mrs C brought Grandma to help with our word collection. We’ve treated each other kindly and supported each other to complete our tasks and say our words in class liturgy. Year 3 have certainly made me and Mrs Redfern smile. Thank you
