This afternoon, our wonderful Year 6 children led an assembly all about St Francis of Assisi.
They told us about his life and acted out a story whereby he stopped a wolf with just the power of God.
With COP26 firmly in the news, St Francis’ status as the Patron Saint of Ecology is particularly poignant, and his love of God’s Creation was reiterated to us by the children. In a drama segment, St Francis even appeared at COP26!
We also heard and joined in with St Francis’ prayer set to music: “Make me a channel of your peace”. It was fantastic to hear all of the pupils and parents singing together.
Well done, Year 6 pupils and staff! It was a fantastic way to begin this year’s class assemblies.
