Miss Jordan asked us how we can be a disciple. Miss Jordan told us how we can live our lives, as a follower of Jesus’ living in friendship and love.
We can be disciples by:
- Giving money to charity, for example CAFOD, Mary’s Meals and etc.
- Donating clothes to the poor
- We can fundraise for families who can’t afford a shelter
- We can buy them a drink or something to eat so they don’t go sleep on an empty stomach
- Being role models for each other
- Smiling to make someone happy
- Using our manners
- Giving respect to everyone
- Don’t make anyone feel left out
- Following the Ten commandments
- By praying
Miss Jordan showed the children a picture of the Holy Trinity, whilst Jesus was baptised, in the River Jordan. In the picture, John was baptising Jesus and over him flew the Holy Spirit ,and watching them was God. Then she told the children that Jesus was an example of how to live like a disciple, ( follower) for he taught his apostles all he knew, on how to live a good and happy life and let others have one as well. This links to the Beatitudes, (Matthew 5:3–12) because they tell us how to live a life according to the Ten Commandment’s and be a disciple or follower in Jesus’ footsteps.
