This week’s word is “journey”. We talked about how a journey can be from one place to another or from one time to another.
Lent is a journey to Easter. It is a time when we spend more time with God in prayer.
We heard about a special journey from the Bible: the Road to Emmaus and we talked about how we may not be able to see him, but Jesus is always there with us.
As we journey through Lent and spend more time with God, your mission this week is to write a short prayer that you can say each day. Please share them in the comments below.

Year 4 wrote their mission prayers which included thanking God for sending his son Jesus to save us, they asked God to help them be more like Jesus and follow his example. They included something that they would do each day for example to help their parents, play with brothers or sisters or read their bibles.
EYFS have created this short prayer to say during Lent.
Dear God,
Guide us as we journey through Lent. Help us to love and care for each other as Jesus loved and cared for us. Help us to spend more time praying and doing kind things for others.
Amen.

Dear God, thank you for staying with me, even when life is hard or when it’s difficult to follow you. Help me though Lent to improve myself and better follow your lead. Amen
Year 2 worked together to put this beautiful prayer together to remember what Jesus did for us through Lent.

Forgive us if we sometimes forget to talk to you through our prayers or meditation.
