This week, we have been thinking about the gift of knowledge. Year 2 led a liturgical prayer helping us to understand the importance of this gift of the Holy Spirit. They asked us to guess the theme by looking at the prayer focus. They included a picture of a brain – to remind us how we store knowledge, pictures of people thinking – how we remember knowledge, and a Bible – how we gain knowledge of God.
Giles read to us from the Book of Chronicles 1:11-12, where God offers King Solomon whatever he wants and Solomon asks Him for wisdom and knowledge because these are the gifts that will help him to follow God and be a just ruler.
They asked us to respond to the scripture by praying that others will ask God for knowledge and wisdom like Solomon did so that we can follow God better and understand what He wants us to do. Then we all wrote some advice on how to be kind on a leaf template so that they could create a knowledge tree to share our ideas with everyone.
