Mission: to see Jesus in the people around you

This week’s word is ‘encounter’.

We talked about how this means to meet someone – and how, in this instance, we are talking about meeting Jesus.

We heard these words from Bishop Patrick:

We discussed what a person showing Jesus’ qualities might be doing. The children came up with lots of ideas:

  • helping someone who is hurt
  • being kind
  • listening
  • helping their parents
  • caring

We said that when we see people doing these things, we can see Jesus in them and this is what you are to look out for this week.

Your mission is to see Jesus in the people around you.

Let us know in the comments how you achieve this week’s mission.
