It was wonderful to welcome Father Gabriel into school today for Mass.
We still couldn’t all gather together in the hall, but we were together virtually! Our Year 6 leavers and our children who made their First Holy Communion this year were in the hall.
Father reminded us of the importance of patience – especially when it comes to our faith. he talked about how frustrated we feel when we send a text message and we don’t get an immediate response – it can be the same when we talk to God. However, our patience will be rewarded when God decides it is the right time.
This Mass was also to thank Mrs Kerry and Mrs Baker who are retiring after many years of service to St Clare’s and to thank Mr Mitchell who is moving on to pastures new. We prayed for them, along with the rest of our school community.
We hope this will be the last virtual Mass and that things can get back to normal next year.
