This week’s word is ‘Remembrance’.
We talked about how we remembered soldiers who had died during wars at last weekend’s Armistice services.
We heard this scripture:
It talks about how we remember Jesus when we take Holy Communion and how it was Jesus himself who told us to do this.
We talked about how important it is to remember so that we learn from the past – to avoid repeating mistakes, but also to appreciate the great things people have done.
We have all lost someone: a friend, a family member or someone we have never met, but we admire.
This week’s mission is to write the name of someone who has died on a piece of paper, to place it on the prayer are and to pray for them.

Year 3 have been reflecting a lot on this weeks theme of Remembrance. The children attended a remembrance liturgy last Friday led by our School Chaplains . The children have taken time to remember those loved ones who are no longer with us. The children then wrote these names on a post it note and we displayed them on our prayer table in the year 3 classroom.
In Class Liturgy this week Year 2 all spoke the name of someone they wanted to remember and pray for. Then as a class we prayed that these people were safe and loved whether on earth or in Heaven.
