Epiphany celebrates the revelation of Jesus Christ to the world. It is a time to reflect on the mystery of Christ’s birth and to renew our commitment to following him. For us, Epiphany is a time to recognise that Christ came for everyone and we see this reflected in the visit of the Magi and the gifts that they brought.

Our Mission

Think of the gifts that you have been given by God. What is a gift that you can give to others? Think of a way to share your gift with your community this week.

In Y6, we talked about how teachers/teaching assistants use their gift of ‘teaching’ on a daily basis in order to help children in class. We also considered how if we are good at a sport (for example, karate or dodgeball) we can help others by coaching them. Children likewise identified how they are able to share joy and happiness with others by practically helping – e.g. preparing food or washing up – and acknowldeging that this is something they could not have got so invovled with when they were younger.
